Terms, privacy and recipe responsibility

Who operates this service

Recipe access and payment terms

Recipe access is sold as a one-time payment chosen by the customer, starting at €2.99. Every displayed amount provides the same lifetime recipe-access level; higher choices are voluntary contributions that support recipe testing, photography and publishing. There is no subscription or recurring charge.

“Lifetime” means access for as long as this service continues to operate. It does not guarantee a particular number of recipes, publication schedule or permanent operation of the service. The exact amount and the obligation to pay are shown immediately before the customer proceeds to Stripe.

Immediate digital access and withdrawal rights

Complete recipe content is digital content. At checkout, the customer is asked separately to request that digital access begins as soon as Stripe confirms payment and to acknowledge that, where applicable law provides for it, beginning that digital supply may affect a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right. This acknowledgement does not remove any other statutory consumer rights.

If you believe a payment was made in error, access was not delivered, or you want to exercise a consumer right, contact support using the details in the operator section above and include the email address used for checkout. CTS will assess the request under the applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the transaction.

Privacy

CTS uses a verified-email sign-in gateway and then creates a secure CTS session for the signed-in account. The service may process account email and display name, recipe-access status, payment references, professional-profile information, employment history, qualifications, portfolio media, job applications, hiring workflow records, messages, interview scheduling/signalling data, recipe submissions and content moderation records where those features are used.

Account and application data is stored in the site database. Uploaded portfolio media and protected professional documents are stored in the site's object storage and are served according to their access rules. Stripe processes payment details; CTS keeps the payment identifiers and status required to unlock access and reconcile a purchase, but does not store card numbers.

Public-profile, Open to Work and portfolio-visibility controls decide what other users can see. Private messages, applications and interview workflow are restricted to the participating account and authorised hiring users. To ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information, use the support contact in the operator section.

Cookies and sessions

Essential cookies are used for secure sign-in and the CTS account session. Security services may also use cookies or similar identifiers for authentication, abuse prevention and fraud protection. Optional analytics or advertising cookies will not be added without an appropriate consent choice where consent is required.

Refund and payment support

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded. For payment, refund or access problems, contact CTS using the operator details above. If Stripe shows a completed payment but recipe access is still locked, the account page also provides a payment-recovery check for the same signed-in email.

Food safety and allergens

Recipes are general educational information. Ingredients and branded products can change. Always check labels and manage allergens for the people you serve. Prevent cross-contamination, follow local food-safety guidance, and cook high-risk foods to a safe internal temperature. Seek qualified medical advice for allergy or dietary concerns.

Contributor recipes and attribution

A recipe credited to an individual chef or cook is presented as that contributor's work or submission, not as a claim that CTS created or invented it. The Chef's Table Secrets provides publishing, organisation, search and editorial presentation. Contributor names should remain visible where supplied, and material may be edited for clarity, formatting, safety notes or house style without changing the stated source.

Contributors are responsible for having the right to submit their text, photographs and other material. CTS may review, correct, decline or remove content that appears unsafe, misleading, copied or outside the food and hospitality purpose of the platform.

Professional profiles and portfolio privacy

Kitchen professionals choose how much of their CTS profile is visible. A profile can be public, show only its public summary, reserve the detailed portfolio for eligible hiring accounts, or be private. The separate Open to Work setting controls hiring discovery; it does not make a private CV public. Profile owners are responsible for keeping work history, qualifications, photographs and portfolio links accurate and for having permission to publish them.

Jobs, applications and hiring accounts

CTS career tools are for kitchen, food, restaurant, hotel, catering and closely related hospitality work. Employers and recruiters must describe roles truthfully and use candidate information only for legitimate hiring activity. CTS provides profile, application and communication tools; it is not the employer, recruitment agency or a party to an employment agreement made between users.

Application status labels such as shortlisted, offer or hired are workflow records entered by the hiring account. They are not a guarantee of employment, immigration permission, pay, working conditions or identity. Users should carry out the checks appropriate to their country and role.

Messages and interviews

Private messages and interview scheduling are visible only to the participating accounts and authorised hiring workflow. Browser audio and video interviews require camera or microphone permission. CTS uses room signalling data to establish the call; the current interview room does not provide a recording feature. Users should not record another person without the permission required by applicable law.

Kitchen community conduct

Profile posts and professional activity must stay relevant to food, kitchens, hospitality work, culinary learning or careers. Harassment, discriminatory recruitment, scams, impersonation, unsafe instructions and unrelated advertising may be removed and accounts may be restricted. Visibility controls decide who can see a post; they do not remove the platform's need to process it for delivery, safety and moderation.
